Jazz, blues and pop alternative vocalist, Shelli LaTorre, performs on the concert stage, in restaurants, and at private functions.  In addition to her regular gigs, Shelli has sold-out Shanghai Jazz in Madison, New Jersey, one of DownBeat's Top 100 Great Jazz Clubs, performed at Trumpets, the Brownstone, and the Liberty House in New Jersey, Vanderbilt's in both Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York, Bowman's Tavern in New Hope, Pennsylvania, the Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys in Baltimore, Maryland, the Harvard Club of Boston, the Chatham Bars Inn in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and many other clubs throughout the East coast. Shelli has a warm and radiant voice that shines through in her extensive repertoire. She personalizes every song with natural rhythms and harmonic sensibility. Versatile and creative, Shelli evokes a passion and emotion with her ballads and generates playful, seductive interpretations of upbeat standards. She performs as a soloist as well as in varied ensembles from intimate duos and trios to 18-piece big bands. Examples of her expertise can be heard on her two CD’s--Full Circle, a CD depicting Shelli’s musical journey through an eclectic mix of American and jazz standards, vocalese, blues and Brazilian repertoire; and From the Hudson’s Jersey Side, a CD that features many treasured classics in Big Band form from the Great American Songbook.
