About Cuzin Richard: Richard's Resume
"Cuzin" Richard Smith as been representing performing artists in various art forms since 1976. In addition to regularly showcasing individual artists at venues and fairs all over New England, he has also overseen talent, volunteers, vendors, sponsorship, budget, advertising and promotion for a number large scale annual events, including the N.H. Folk Festival, the N.H. Jazz and Blues Festival and the yearly Comedy Xxtravaganza with Mike McDonald at The Music Hall in Portsmouth.
He established the CREA Jazz and Blues Collaborative to promote artists outside New England and is co-founder/member of the Portsmouth Concert Co-Operative. Richard served on the board of Pro Portsmouth, and with them co-founded First Night Portsmouth. He created the Harbor Arts Museum Project (which showcases performing arts history in New England, including photos, recordings, instruments and other memorabilia), and is also currently the co-chair of the Pierce Island Enhancement Committee.
Under Richard's management, CREA is member to many regional Chambers of Commerce and State Fair Associations, The Portsmouth Historical Society, The N.H. Travel Council, New England Presenters and Seacoast Buy Local.
